The Directorate of IPLA coordinated the visit by a delegation of academics from Brandenburg and Eberswalde. The delegation included: Prof. Dr. Dietmar Wikarski - Project Leader ProUniEdu-WeK (DAAD), Prof. Dr. Reiner Malessa - Technische Hochschule Brandenburg, Luise Arndt  - Optometric Studies department Technische Hochschule Brandenburg and Prof. Sena Awarthi - from the HNEE (University of Applied Sciences Eberswalde). The delegation paid a courtesy call to the Ag. Vice- Chancellor, Prof Isac Kimengi and proceeded to the Cermesa boardroom for discussions.
The Moi University team was led by Prof. Eng. Simiyu Sitati, Dean School of Engineering, Prof. Eng. P.M Wambua, Dr, Severinus Kifalu, Dr. Joel  Kosgei,School of Biological & Physical Sciences, Dr. Andrew Macharia, Dr. Ernest K. Saina,  and Dr. Charles Lagat.
After successful, collaboration with Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology the German delegation desired to expand their partnership to other Universities especially in the western Kenya region. During their presentations and discussions the teams were able to establish common areas of interest. The teams are keen to establish collaboration with a view to make learning practice oriented. The Moi University team will meet and discuss areas of interest, identify common projects and work towards having a MoU.
