The International Office coordinated the visit by 18 students on exchange program from Alexandria University, Egypt. The exchange program is part of the MoU that the two Universities signed in 2009 and has enabled more than 200 students from the College of Health Sciences (CHS) to travel to Alexandria and a similar number coming to Moi University. The collaboration has also been beneficial to staff through staff exchange and training.
The students were hosted by the College of Health Sciences on a three week programme where they took elective courses and participated in clinical rounds.
The students went excursion to Maasai Mara game reserve and also had the privilege to visit the Nandi and Kericho tea farms. Before their departure the students also made a courtesy call to the Vice - Chancellors’ office. Present during the courtesy call were Members of the Management Board, Prof. Mohamed El-Badawi, and Dr. Paul Kiptoon from the School of Medicine; and staff from the Directorate of International programmes and Linkages.
